Sh. Mohamed Khalifa Al-Khalifa
Mohamed Al-Khalifa, based in Capital Governorate, Bahrain, is currently a Director General of Heritage at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities. Mohamed Al-Khalifa brings experience from previous roles at Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Bahrain International Circuit, Bahrain Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications and Bahrain Logistics Zone. Mohamed Al-Khalifa holds a 2021 – 2026 Doctor of Philosophy – PhD in Environment and Sustainable Development @ University of Bahrain. With a robust skill set that includes Project Management, Planning, Teamwork, Networking, Strategy Formation & Facilitation and more.
Professor Dr. Noman Ahmed, Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Management Sciences, NED University of Engineering and Technology, Pakistan.
Professor Dr. Noman Ahmed is an architect and planner by profession. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Dawood College/NED University (1989), a Master’s in City Planning from Middle East Technical University, Turkey (1992), and a Ph.D. from Loughborough University, UK (2005). He also completed advanced training at Harvard University and UNCRD, Japan.
Dr. Ahmed has taught at leading institutions in Karachi and established the Architecture and Planning Department at NED University in 2000, where he currently serves as Professor and Dean, Faculty of Architecture and Management Sciences. He has contributed extensively to research on urban development, infrastructure planning, and climate action, including projects like Quetta Master Plan 2050 and Karachi Climate Action Plan.
He has authored several books published by Oxford University Press and NED University Press, and regularly writes on development issues in major Pakistani newspapers. His honors include the Best Teacher Award (HEC, 2009), Dr. Akhter Hameed Khan Memorial Award (2010), Best Writer Award (2009), and Tamgha-e-Imtiaz (2021). He also holds the UNESCO Chair on Sustainable Urban Regions at NED University.
